This State Association of United Ways serves 17 local United Ways who represent the largest network of non-governmental service providers and service funders in Virginia, collectively raising and distributing over $100 million dollars annually to support local health and human service organizations. The United Way of Virginia strives to create innovations that improve communities through system-wide partnership and collaboration.
We understand that every community is unique, with its own set of challenges and opportunities. That’s why we take a personalized approach, working closely with local partners to develop tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of the people we serve. Uniting all United Ways are the four pillars of Financial Security, Youth Opportunity, Health, and Community Resiliency.

Financial Security
Everyone deserves the opportunity to earn a living that can sustain a family and build security for future generations. That’s why we’re partnering to help more adults thrive in a career, live in quality housing and build generational wealth.

Youth Opportunity
We want all kids to soar.! So we work with the people who care for them — from families and neighbors, to schools and community agencies — to connect young people with the support they need.
